Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on all Aethelgard licenses — Annual and Lifetime. If the product doesn't work for you, email us and we'll process a full refund immediately.

How to request a refund

Email contact@aethelgard.finance within 14 days of your purchase with:

  • The email address used at checkout
  • Your order reference (in your Paddle receipt)

We will process the refund within 2 business days. Paddle typically returns funds to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

After a refund

Upon refund, your license key is deactivated. The Software continues to function in Personal-tier (free) mode — you do not lose access to your data. Your financial records remain on your device and are yours to keep.

Annual renewals

Annual licenses do not auto-renew. When your license expires, the Software returns to Personal-tier functionality. You will not be charged automatically. If you choose to renew, you purchase a new license at the then-current price.

Upgrading from Annual to Lifetime

If you hold a current Annual license and wish to upgrade to Lifetime, follow these steps — do not purchase the Lifetime plan directly, as we will not be able to apply your credit retroactively.

  1. Email contact@aethelgard.finance with the subject "Upgrade to Lifetime", including the email address used at checkout.
  2. We will calculate the unused portion of your Annual license and reply with a personalised discount code covering that amount.
  3. Once you have received the discount code, purchase the Lifetime plan for your tier from the pricing page and apply the code at checkout.
  4. Your new Lifetime license key will be delivered automatically to your email.

We aim to respond to upgrade requests within one business day.
