What we're building next

Aethelgard is built in the open with the people who use it. Below is what has shipped, what is being worked on now, and which banks have been asked for.

Where your bank stands

Aethelgard reads the institutions below directly. It also imports the universal OFX, QIF and CSV formats, so an unnamed bank is still a supported bank — a named adapter simply means you don't have to map the columns yourself.

In progress, shipping in a future update.

Nothing in the workshop this week. The next adapter comes off the requested list.

Requested

0

Asked for by users, most-requested first.

No open requests right now — ask for yours and it goes straight to the top of the queue.

How the queue is ordered

Demand first. The same institution asked for more than once moves up the list.

Licence holders weighted. A request from a paying customer counts for more than an anonymous one.

A sample gets it built. A request with a redacted format sample attached can be started immediately.

Send only column headers and made-up rows — never a real balance, account number or name. Every adapter ships to everyone in a normal update, not just to the person who asked.

The accounting engine

Aethelgard is a double-entry ledger first and a wealth tracker second. Most of what follows is engine work — the part that decides whether a number is defensible.

Being built

More bank and broker adapters

Driven by the demand board above. Most-requested and licence-holder requests are built first.

Consolidation completeness

Closing the remaining gaps in group reporting, reusing the deferred-tax engine.

Considering

Ledger-state alerts

The checks only a general ledger can run — unreconciled at month-end, a period unlocked after close, gains nearing the annual exemption.

Considering means exactly that. These are being weighed, not scheduled, and some will be dropped.

AI Copilot

Bring your own key or run a local model. It proposes; you approve. It cannot post to your books on its own.

Every release is written up in full in the release notes.
