Macro regime classifier. Scenario stress testing. Heuristic scorecards grounded in Buffett-Munger, Graham and Lynch — with a why-line on every rule. Built for investors who must survive bad decades, not just beat good ones.

Why we built it
Trackers tell you what your portfolio did last quarter. Robo-advisors tell you what some opaque model thinks you should buy. Sentinel sits between the two: macro regime awareness, scenario stress testing, and named-framework heuristics — every output cited, every confidence level shown, "do nothing" treated as a first-class recommendation.
What it does
Eight named regimes from a five-factor FRED ingest — yield curve, real policy rate, credit spreads, financial conditions, core inflation. Every factor shows the band, the why-line, and the citation date.
Total market value, allocation by asset class / currency / country / sector, concentration metrics (HHI, effective N), top-10 holdings — all FX-normalised to your base currency.
Three curated historical events — 2008 credit crunch, 1970s inflation shock, 20–30% property correction — with per-asset-class drawdown and the cited source for every scalar applied.
Per-security grading against Buffett-Munger, Graham and Lynch. Every rule shows threshold, your value, verdict, and a 100-word why this rule exists. Missing inputs are reported as not-scored — never fabricated.
Encrypted SQLCipher vault on your own machine. AI features are opt-in and route through a sanitisation layer that strips identifiers — no raw position data ever leaves the device.
Every AI summary uses the Known / Likely / Wrong / Do pattern — facts cited, confidence levels shown, dissenting views surfaced, "do nothing" justified when that's the right call.
Encoded frameworks
Sentinel doesn't invent its own scoring. Every rule is named — Buffett-Munger ROIC ≥ 15%, Graham P/E ≤ 15, Lynch PEG ≤ 1 — with the threshold, your value, the verdict, and a plain-English explanation of why the rule exists.
ROIC ≥ 15%, ROE ≥ 15%, Debt/Equity ≤ 0.5, FCF positive 5 of 5 years, profitable 9 of 10 years. Quality of the business and balance sheet.
P/E ≤ 15, P/B ≤ 1.5, Current ratio ≥ 2, Long-term debt ≤ Current assets, profitable 10 of 10 years. Pay below intrinsic value with a working-capital cushion.
PEG ≤ 1, EPS growth ≥ 10%, P/E ≤ 20, Debt/Equity ≤ 0.5. Growth justifies the multiple — but only if the balance sheet survives the recession.
Plus an eight-factor macro regime classifier and three curated stress scenarios — every score, every drawdown, every recommendation cites its source.

Frequently asked
When you launch Sentinel for the first time, paste your Aethelgard licence key (the one that starts with AETHG-). The app validates it offline against the same shared secret that signs Aethelgard keys — no network call, no account required. Personal-tier keys are rejected by Sentinel; standalone subscribers get a different key starting with SENTI- after purchase.
No. Sentinel provides analytics and scenarios, not regulated investment recommendations. The classifier names a regime — it does not tell you what to buy. The heuristic scorecard grades a security against named frameworks — it does not name the security as "buy" or "sell". There is no automated trade execution, ever.
Sentinel uses live data from FRED, Yahoo Finance and (optionally) Anthropic — all of which have ongoing operating cost. Annual is the honest pricing. If you'd rather make a single payment, an Aethelgard Sovereign or Corporate Lifetime licence includes Sentinel for free, forever, plus the multi-entity wealth ledger.
FRED (St Louis Fed) for the macro regime factors — free, no rate limits, you supply your own API key from fred.stlouisfed.org. Yahoo Finance for FX and security prices — free, no key needed. SEC EDGAR for fundamentals on US securities. All responses are cached locally with an end-of-day refresh policy, so the app remains useful offline.
Only if you turn AI on (it's off by default), and only after the on-device sanitiser strips identifiers and aggregates positions. Names, account numbers and ISIN-level data never leave your machine — the sanitiser leak-test suite fails the build if any allow-listed shape leaks an ID. AI is BYO Anthropic key — you pay for inference directly, and you can disable it at any time.
Windows-only at launch, matching Aethelgard's current platform support. Mac is on the roadmap once both products' Mac builds are ready — drop your email above to be notified.
